November’s Taking Stock

I saw this post originally on Love Audrey’s latest blog post which directed me to Meet Me At Mike’s writing and the exercise, Taking Stock.  On first glance, it seems quite easy but some of the prompts REALLY made me think!

Cooking : I’ve become stuck in a rut again with my culinary skills…time to get the recipe books out for some inspiration

Drinking : a lot of water to make up for the lashings alcohol drank over the weekend celebrating my Dads 60th

Reading: The Art of Hiding by Amanda Prowse – it’s set in Bath & Bradford on Avon! I’m really enjoying her books at the moment. I might do a blog post on them…

Wanting: a few more hours in the day

Looking: at my winter wardrobe &…

Wondering: if I need any more cosy jumpers

Making : a mental list of all the things I need to get done for the rest of this week

Notebook & Pen

Deciding: on what to wear when we go out this evening – we’re using one of JB’s birthday presents

Wishing: I had enough pennies in the bank that I could buy a Gucci or Chanel handbag – it’s on my bucket list before I’m 40

Enjoying: a weekend away for my Dad’s 60th which included my brother & sister. They don’t happen as often as I might like.

Waiting: to see if I get my hands on the elusive M&S Beauty calendar this year!

Liking: the morning cuddle I get from Connie every day…she sits at my side in the office & launches herself onto my lap

Wondering: what on earth we’re going to buy everyone for Christmas this year. It’s so tricky to be original!

Loving: being my own boss and having the flexibility I never used to have

Considering: where else I’d like to holiday…travel is constantly on my mind

Buying: nothing for us!!  Need to crack on with the Christmas shopping

Watching: I’ve just watched Atypical & Gypsy on Netflix – the first is great, the later is ‘ok’

Hoping: that I make it through the busy work period that is on the horizon

Marvelling: at how quickly the long weekend came & went

Brecon, Wales

Needing: another holiday!

Questioning: how on earth these male ‘celebrities’ think they’re behaviours will go unnoticed

Smelling: the candle that’s trying to mask the smell of curry (not a takeaway I might add!)

Wearing: no makeup

Following: I’d actually like some more ThirtyPlus bloggers to follow so if you’ve got any recommendations that would be great!

Noticing: how many things we’ve already got pencilled in the diary for 2018

Knowing: that I need to up at the crack of dawn tomorrow for a breakfast meeting

Thinking: how difficult some of these prompts have been!

Admiring: my friend Anna – she’s had a tough 2017 & I don’t know how she’s managed to get through it

Sorting: the endless amounts of ‘stuff’ we have in this house – there’s only so much stuff we need!

Getting: excited for our trip to New Zealand at the end of this year

Disliking: the colder weather that’s crept in! I’m def a summer girl

Opening: the endless amounts of junk emails & blocking or unsubscribing

Feeling: like I’m almost back at 100% after being beyond poorly last week

Snacking: I definitely need to curb the snacking!!

Hearing: the dog gently snoring next to me
