Taking Stock – April 2018

I really enjoyed taking inspiration from Meet Me at Mike’s Taking Stock that I did back in November…so I thought I’d do another one as it’s been a good few months!

Making : the most of the sunshine!
Cooking : dinner will be homemade carbonara.  The recipe is SO simple, even I can master it!
Drinking endless amounts of water to stay hydrated during this marvellous weather
Reading : the last few pages of Eleanor Oliphant – if you haven’t read it yet, it’s a MUST!
Next read : The Photographer by Craig Roberston…a birthday present!
Wanting : a whole new summer wardrobe
Looking : At the garden and thinking we should get the grass cut, patio cleaned!
Playing : No Roots by Alice Merton – I think it was a Radio 1 record of the week
Deciding : on the design of a new flyer for my business…it’s SO tricky!
Wishing : These sunny days were going to last a little longer
Enjoying : feeling the warmth of the sun on my face – I despise the cold wet weather
Waiting : for the pasta to boil
Wondering : if we can get away for a few days before our holiday in July…

ballet shoes
Pondering:  Whether I should look into doing a ballet class or similar?
Considering : What ice cream I should have at Swoon Gelato in Bath!
Buying : I’ve tried to be really good with my spending this month – the last thing I bought was the worming tablets for the dogs!
Watching : I’ve just watched the last episode of Queer Eye that I’ve been saving!
Next watch : I’ve heard so many good things about Wild Wild Country on Netflix
Marvelling : At all the delicious recipes on The Mother Cooker website…Gem’s a whiz in the kitchen and a wonderful lady
Needing : A cold beer!
Questioning : Which bits and bobs around the house I don’t really need.
Smelling : Suntan lotion…stay safe in the sun everyone!
Wearing : A stripy top (standard!)
Worrying : We’ve had a few worries these last couple of weeks which I won’t go into on here        Knowing : That everything will be OK in the end
Noticing :  That everyone’s mood is always better when the sun is shining

Loving : My amazing husband
Sorting : my never ending list of ‘things to do’.  The last few weeks have been crazy busy and I feel that I’m adding to the list more than I’m ticking off.
Getting : excited for the weekend!!
Opening : Boring work post…
Giggling : at Connie, who’s decided the best, coolest place to lie is in the flower bed (naughty dog!)
Feeling : HOT HOT HOT! (I’m not complaining though!)
Snacking : on almonds and dried apricots – trying to be good this week!
Hearing : children playing in the garden and the birds chattering away to each other
