Merry Month of May Favs

First off – how is it June already?! The weather over the last few days have been not so summery & frankly it’s a little boring now!

This isn’t something I normally do on HappyWiseOwl but have been debating to for a while…so without further a do here’s a round up of my favourites this month!

Fashion – Primark trainers

These have got to be the MOST comfortable shoes I’ve ever bought!! I initially bought them for dog walks as I didn’t mind if they got trashed but I love them so much I’ve bought a second back up pair! They look like Toms but are a fraction of the price at £6.  They also come in white, navy and a deep burgundy red.

Skin care – Oskia Renaissance Mask & Caudalie Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil

I’ve never really been one for faffing about with face masks but since returning from Spain I’ve noticed my skin is suffering a little. After spotting the Oskia Renaissance Mask on Cult Beauty & seeing it in both on Caroline Hirons and Love Audrey social media spaces I decided to give it a whirl. It is said to ‘boost radiance and gradually reduce the appearance of fine lines and imperfections’.  I’ve been using it once a week for 3 weeks now and can really feel the difference – my skin is SO soft for a couple of days after using it.  I’m interested to try other products in their range now…watch this space!

I’ve been a little wary of using oil on my skin, especially being a bad skin sufferer for many years and totally freaking out about it making my skin worse again.  I’d seen Caudalie Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil advertised in France and honestly wished I’d bought some in the pharmacy whilst over there.  It is without doubt, the best thing to remove make up as a first cleanse and it just melts everything away, especially mascara which I find is the toughest thing to remove sometimes!

Food – Green Bird Cafe & Cafe Lucca

I’ve discovered these 2 lovely little cafes in Bath this month – you can read a full review here and here!

Travel – Spain!

Of course, I couldn’t do this without mentioning our last 6 weeks in Spain, which technically fell mostly in April but were were there for a few days into May.

I’m sure you’re all sick of me babbling on but if you missed the posts you can read them here, here, here AND here and maybe here!

What have been your favourite things in May??
