Subscription boxes are not a new thing – there are more and more creeping into the market every week.
It’s SO easy to not spend time together with your other half – everyone is super busy, rushing around from one thing to another so by the time you get home in the evening, you just want to crash in front of some trashy TV; before you know it, it’s bed time and the whole process starts again.
I was recently sent the mini version of the Plan Our Date box to review. These boxes are intended for you and your partner to step away from a night in front of the TV and actually spend some quality time together – be that a games night or a cocktail making session.
So, we made a plan to have a Date Night and set aside an evening to open the box!
Our box contained a Who Knows Who game, ingredients (plus instructions) for some pancakes (you just needed to add an egg and some milk), some syrup to drizzle on the pancakes plus something to end the date with – two tea bags and some LoveHearts.
We popped on the pre-selected Spotify Date Night ready soundtrack which included songs by the likes of Justin Timberlake, Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran. We may or may not have had a little dance around the kitchen especially to the old school God Only Knows by the Beach Boys (from one of my favourite films Love Actually!).
Pancakes made…and eaten before a photo was taken…it was time to take the quiz. You each have a list of questions in which the answers are multiple choice. There were three tokens up for grabs which included breakfast in bed, a cup of tea and a massage. We declared a tie as it seems we know each other pretty well indeed!
It was a really fun, different way to spend an evening and made us think that despite working together and obviously living together we don’t spend a great deal of time just being “us”.
