Delicious Food at Heddon Street Kitchen

You might say our recent trip to London was a little Gordon Ramsey heavy – not only did we stay and dine at the York & Albany but we also had lunch at Heddon Street Kitchen.

HSK is really central in London – just off busy Regent Street.  Tucked away down Heddon Street which is a small cobbled street with lots of delicious eateries hidden away.  You don’t feel as if you’re sat in the hustle and bustle of the West End in the open, airy brassiere.  This was our second visit to HSK and we weren’t disappointed in our return.

We’d booked in for lunch after JB’s charity football match at the Emirates ground.  It had been an early start and an anxious morning.  This was followed by an adrenaline fuelled 90 minutes so by the time we arrived we were starving.

The interior is ultra modern and has a warehouse vibe.  The tables aren’t really closely packed together and people weren’t all sat in particular area.  The outside seating area comes with blankets for the unpredictable English weather.

We opted to eat from the a la carte menu however they do offer a pre-theatre deal which we’ve had before.  JB & I ordered the HSK Fish & Chips, whilst my Dad & Step-Mum both had the HSK Short Rib Burger with various goodies packed on top.  Both were served with HUGE chunky chips!  Everyone was really pleased with their choices – the burger was juicy and the fish was covered in crisp batter and super flaky inside.

We were a little tight on time as we had trains to catch so we couldn’t make the most of the dessert menu.  They did sounded delicious – traditional English Strawberry Trifle?!  YES PLEASE!!!

The service was super friendly and not rushed and we felt that the food was reasonably priced for London restaurants.  I don’t think it’s overpriced because it has Gordon’s named attached to it.

If you’re looking for somewhere a little different, we’d highly recommend Heddon Street Kitchen!
