Milsom Place in Bath was transformed into a market place for cheese lovers. With brightly coloured bunting and stripy canopies swaying in the beautiful Autumn sunshine was a perfect setting for The Fine Cheese Co Festival.
This was a gathering perfect for any cheese lover amongst us and bought together the finest cheeses and cheesemakers from the UK and Ireland for another of their unmissable artisan cheese festivals.
All of the producers were more than happy to stop and share their stories regarding their products. There were plenty of tasty offerings and the chaps at Le Vignoble were also on hand to supply some wine tasting that complimented the cheeses.
Even JB was in for some tastings as there were a few goats and ewes milk cheeses available – initially he thought he’d have to stand aside and let me go forth!
You can’t have cheese without biscuits and The Fine Cheese Co were on hand to provide samples of their artisan crackers and accompaniments. If you have a favourite cheese, these clever chaps will have a cracker specifically designed to compliment it – so clever!
We were kindly given a beautiful tote bag stuffed full of goodies from The Fine Cheese Co so that we could continue our cheese and biscuit journey in the warmth of home.
The Fine Cheese Co can be found in Walcot Street in Bath or their London store which is located in Belgravia. Both offer a wide variety of cheeses, both from Britain and foreign shores together with wonderful little cafes that provide cheese and charcuterie plates (of course!)
We can’t wait to come back next year…please don’t leave it so long next time!
