These are my favourite times…

We all have moments in time that we class as our ‘favourite times’ – it could be when your achieving goals in your job, when your travelling or when your just taking time out.

When I’m Travelling

This should come as no surprise to anyone!  There’s nothing I love more than having a trip booked to look forward to – whether that’s in the U.K. or abroad, I’m not fussed!  You may have already read my post on reasons to travel which I won’t repeat here but seeing new places is good for the soul!

When I’m Reading

I’ve ALWAYS been a bookworm – when I was small I would follow my Mum around with a book in hand asking ‘mummy, read’.  I would know if she’s missed a page or a paragraph out to speed the process up.  When we went to Australia I read 2 of the 3 Hunger Game books during the flight alone.  I read a little every day, normally just before bed to stop screen time and allow my mind to stop racing around.

I also love wandering around a bookstore – there’s something therapeutic about being surrounded by shelves of crisp new books.

I’m always looking for recommendations so if you have any, please leave a comment below!

When I’m Drinking Gin…!

OK – there a reason I’ve included this…it’s been part of my job for the last year to write a blog for a monthly gin subscription box so I’ve been exposed to a LOT of different gins!  I’ve learnt that not only is it the gin choice, it’s the tonic and the garnish that also matter.

My favourites at the moment include Bloom and Tarquins…although both of these bottles have run out (sad times!)

When I get (more) new Stationery / Notebooks

Colourful notebooksI love a beautiful new notebook.  As I’ve previously mentioned, I have different notebook for different things and all hell breaks loose if I’ve written the wrong thing in the wrong book! (Anyone else do this or is it just me?!)

When I’m with Family & Friends

This goes without saying!!

This is a cute post! Drinking gin makes me happy as well ha, and I totally agree: the tonic and garnish make all the difference. I can’t believe I only ever used to drink Gordons and Schweppes tonic, how inexperienced I was ha.
I love travelling. I’m going to Croatia at the end of this month and I am so excited!

You had a very lucky job in testing all those different gins! Edinburgh gin rhubarb is my favourite so good it doesn’t even need tonic!
