I think it’s safe to say we all grew up watching Wallace and Gromit. It might be that you watched it the first time round (in my case) or the many times it’s been repeated over the years. The two lovable characters were created and developed by Nick Park based in Bristol which is not far from where I live.
Gromit Unleashed is a trail that features over 60 giant sculptures designed by high-profile artists, designers, innovators and local talent. Sculptures are positioned in high footfall and iconic locations around Bristol and the surrounding area, perfect for a family day out around the city and beyond.
You can either purchase and download the app or there are traditional maps you can buy from various locations in Bristol.
There have been two previous trails by Nick Park – the original Gromit Unleashed and Shaun in the City. Both of these raised an incredible £6 million for Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal.
The sculptures will be waiting to be found until 2 September so a great summer holiday activity.
Whilst I was in Bristol for 24 hours, my brother, sister and I did a bit of Gromit Hunting…and here’s a few highlights!
It looks like such a wonderful day out!
