How many of us grew up with the infamous programme Friends? The pain of having to wait a full week between episodes that were only 30 minutes long and ran for a full 24 weeks in a series.
There’s nearly 12 years between my sister and I but we share the same love of Friends. I had the friends edition of the Scene It game – and pretty much the only person I could play it with was Sammy!
Last year we failed to get tickets to FriendsFest so this year I had a reminder in my calendar to get online at 9am the first day of sales. We managed to secure tickets for Bristol at Blaize Castle.
As you can imagine, we were both pretty excited to see what was going to be there as there isn’t a lot of information on the website. It’s set up very much like a festival with lots of foodie vendors and then different tents sent up with various ‘things to do’.
The main event is the set tour where you get to see Joey and Chandlers, go across the hall to Monica and Rachel’s and newly added for 2018 is Ross’ apartment. This was really well organised! Firstly there was an opportunity to see pieces from the set including the Gellar Cup, Phoebe’s guitar and the best bud bracelet that Joey buys Chandler. Once you had seen all of these, you were shown into Chandlers apartment. They asked you all to stand back so that everyone could get the Insta-worthy empty apartment shot before then being allowed to dash in and sit on the sofas or in the canoe or stand in the kitchen ready for plenty of other photo opportunities.
These are a few of my favourite snaps from the day!
