Taking Stock – May 2019

Wow, it’s been a year since I did a Taking Stock post. It was really popular and I took the idea from Meet Me at Mike’s as I loved the posts.

Without further a do, here’s my take on Taking Stock…

Making : A list – I’m never without a list and it never seems to end
Cooking : Some new dishes hopefully…I’ve just bought the vegan cookbook Bosh
Enjoying : The warmer sunnier weather we’ve had in the last week

Drinking : a well deserved gin – Silent Pool if anyone is interested!
Reading : I’ve just finished InTheFrow’s book which has been half read since I bought it
Next read : Looking for suggestions!
Wanting : An early night
Looking : At the beautiful brochure I picked up at an event on South Africa – it’s where I go to go for my ‘big’ birthday.
Playing : Billie Eilish – love her at the moment!
Wishing : That my last draft of this post didn’t get deleted by WordPress!!!
Waiting : For my dinner to be ready…I’m SO hungry after an epic spin class
Buying : As you will have read in my previous post, I’ve just invested in a capsule work wardrobe so now I’m on a bit of spend ban!

Pondering: Where our next adventure will take us – we’ve got some air miles to use again!
Considering : Redecorating our bedroom but can I be bothered with the upheaval.
Watching : Selling Sunset on Netflix – complete trash but I love it!
Next watch : I’ve just realised that I’ve got a couple of unwatched episodes of Queer Eye – how did that happen!
Marvelling : At how lucky we are to still have little Roxy here with us, she’s quite poorly but she’s still such a happy little soul

Needing : A couple of days off away from home – I find that because we work from home I often need to just have a change of scenery
Questioning :
Whether we’re doing enough as a household to reduce our waste / plastic use
Smelling :
Last nights curry – why does the smell linger for SO long?!
Wearing :
All the new clothes from my capsule work wardrobe and adapting them for every day wear as well
Knowing :
That these last few weeks and months have been tricky for us but everything will be OK
Noticing :
How much stronger I’m getting in RPM in the last month or so – it’s a love / hate relationship
Loving :
My husband – of course!

Sorting : my never ending list of ‘things to do’. The last few weeks have been crazy busy and I feel that I’m adding to the list more than I’m ticking off.
Getting : Annoyed at the dog who’s barking at 5.30am most mornings waking up the whole street!
Opening : A new bottle of shampoo and conditioner AT THE SAME TIME – what is this magic?!
Giggling : At Connie who is currently led upside down.
Feeling : Excited that I’m off to see Betrayal with Tom Hiddleston in next week!
Snacking : On a Chocolate Orange I found in the cupboard that’s been hidden since Christmas!
Hearing : Children laughing and playing happily outside
