Is giving birthday cards a dying tradition? With social media so easily accessible it’s so easy to just sent a facebook message, a tweet or a simple text. I’m still pretty old school, I love sending and receiving cards – be that birthday, Christmas or even just a simple thank you card. With Sherbet Lane, you don’t need to worry about going to the shop – this is a monthly subscription box that can help you when you’re caught out!
The lady behind Sherbet Lane is the lovely Claire Keay – a children’s book illustrator and fellow stationery addict.
As with any good subscription box, Sherbet Lane’s box is beautifully wrapped in letterbox sized packaging so no need to go and fetch it from the post office if you’re at work all day.
The box I received included cards, journal, pencils, a badge and a couple of prints. They all have a similar theme and are beautifully designed.
My favourite piece from this range has got to be the gratitude journal. I think we’re all in such a rush ALL THE TIME that we never take a moment to think about the good things that happened on any particular day. I’ll definitely be putting this by my bedside and try to complete it each night. Not only will it help me to slow down, but i’ll be more grateful of the little things that happen each day.
Not only does Sherbet Lane offer the month subscription box (starting at £14 for a one off, £42 for 3 months or ££84 for 6 months), you can also check out the shop where you can purchase cards, stickers and notebooks to name a few.
I like that you don’t have to sign up for a year or a set amount of time because that’s what puts me off subscription boxes! It’s a nice idea for even a few times a year to have a stockpile of cards! X
I love sending cards so much and I always love receiving them too xx
I love this concept. Sounds so lovely xxx
Ah I love little stationary bits like this and I love that it’s a monthly subscription. Such a lovely idea xx
This is such a good idea and a really nice little box x
I love a gratitude journal, it’s so easy to overlook the small but great things that happen daily, and instead focus on the negative.
I love the designs. I always send cards, it’s more personal and it’s something I’ve always done.
