February 14th…Valentines Day…the day where cards and bouquets of flowers are delivered across the land. In all honesty I don’t necessarily agree with the consumerism side of the day – why do we need a particular day to tell our loved ones what they mean to us. It did however get me thinking about love and it’s meaning…
Love is butterflies in your tummy
Love is a quiet night in with a glass of your favourite tipple and a box of your favourite treats
Love is feeling safe
Love is completely selfless – wanting nothing in return
What is love
Love is acceptance and not trying to make your partner or friends someone they are not
Love is supporting each other, and being there for each other, through life’s hardships and the emotional roller coaster that it sometimes throws at you
Love is basking in the good times that each of you might share, individually or as a couple
Love is the dogs rushing to greet you when you’ve had a tough day
Love is having an equal and walking together in your journey
Love is knowing you have wonderful friends and family around you
Love is calming yet exciting
Love is a gift from god

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud
